Division Overview
We specialize in crushing low silica materials such as coal, salt, gyspum, trona, limestone and more. Our crushing equipment is designed to minimize "fines" generation while efficiently handling wet, sticky feeds. As a world-wide leader and innovator in the design and manufacture of this type of equipment, you can rely on us to deliver the best in quality, service and experience.
Samuel Calvin McLanahan (2nd generation) was instrumental in the development of McLanahan process equipment, moving us from a foundry operation and into the manufacturer of process equipment.
Rotary Breakers were originally developed and patented by Mr. Hezekiah Bradford of Reading, Pennsylvania. McLanahan Corporation constructed the first Bradford Breakers for Mr. Bradford in 1893.
In 1894, Samuel invented the Single Roll Crusher by using a split frame design with a crushing roll, breaking material against a solid backing plate.
From these two pieces of equipment McLanahan Corporation now offers a wide range of crushing equipment including Roll Crushers, Sizers, Feeder-Breakers and Rotary Breakers. In addition we supply complete bulk material sampling systems, dewatering screens and vibratory screens.
